Ongoing Classes

 

Therapeutic Yoga – Strengthening
This class uses yoga poses and other exercises to effectively strengthen, stretch and heal the body and mind.  Modifications for each pose will be shown.  Emphasis will be on improving balance, movement, alignment and stability. This is a great class if you are new to yoga and do not have any major health issues or symptoms.  All levels are welcome.


Therapeutic Yoga – Gentle 
This class focuses on gentle movement, proper alignment and easy stretching and strengthening of the body.  It is ideal for practitioners dealing with chronic pain or rehabilitating injuries, arthritis and/or coping with stress.  Ideal for beginners or seniors or anyone seeking a gentler practice.  All levels are welcome.


Gentle Chair Yoga 
A 30 min gentle yoga class that uses props, chairs and the wall to assist participants of all ages and abilities to enjoy the benefits of yoga. The entire class is practiced standing or seated in a chair. The focus will be on increasing balance, flexibility, strength, endurance and overall wellness.  All levels are welcome.

Self-Care Techniques
Learn simple self-care techniques that you can practice at home. Improve and restore the body with exercises, poses and therapy ball rolling to reduce pain and tension and return the body to its proper balance. Each month, we will focus on a different area of the body. Call to find out the focus for this month.  All levels welcome.

 

Active Yoga 
This moderately paced class focuses on alignment and safety while utilizing some flowing yoga sequences and longer holds. You will be encouraged to work on correct form in a broad assortment of yoga poses as well as practice breath work (pranayama) and relaxation techniques.  **It is recommended that you have at least  6 months of yoga experience and are free of injury/illness before taking this class**
